Job SummaryAs a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications and services in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipeline within a commercial cloud environment. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, aiming to streamline testing processes, reduce defects, and accelerate software releases.Primary Responsibilities:Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing within a commercial cloud environment.Participate and collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts (using best practices) to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance CriteriaCollaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsetsDevelop automated test cases using knowledge of custom Applications through designated GUI/COTS products (ex: Selenium and Katalon Studio)Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improvedDevelop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) and support performance testing/evaluation activities using tools such as JmeterBasic Qualifications:Experience in software quality assurance with a significant focus on automation testing.Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadenceHands-on experience in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium or Katalon StudioStrong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python enabling the ability to write efficient and scalable test scripts.Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and their integration with automated tests.Direct experience with software performance testing practicesExperience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS) and DevOps tools, and working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environmentDemonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development effortsBS degree with 4 more more years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 2 or more years of prior relevant experience.
